I started taking photographs while working as a soldier in the Royal Marines. Rather than be part of the events that I was witnessing, I wanted to document them, to tell their story. The camera offered me this opportunity.
In 2002 I left the military and trained as a photographer. After completing the City and Guilds foundation course, I graduated with a MA in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster.
In March 2003 I photographed the US/UK invasion of Iraq, and I continue to visit the country to document the effects of the on-going occupation. To maintain a balance in my work, I apply my reportage style to weddings and event photography.
I hope you enjoy the images. Please feel free to contact me for further information on commissions or prints.
